LAGOS— LEADERS OF Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, in Lagos State yesterday endorsed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term, stating that he has performed well over the previous four years.

All Christians were urged to support Sanwo-Olu on March 11 by the fellowship’s leaders, who spoke after a gathering in Ikeja.

The Chairman, Secretary, and other PFN leaders, such as Apostle Enyinnaya Okwuonu, Pastor Mahmood Akindejoye, and Bishop Theophilus Ajose, were present at the emergency meeting.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu has done very well in the last four years,” he said. “The church in Lagos State asked for a Christian governor. The candidate is what matters in this governor’s race, not any political party. With his impartial administration of the state, Mr. Sanwo-Olu has given Christians great cause for celebration. Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu deserves our support once more because he is one of us, and the Church is saying as one.

“I appeal to all outstanding church leaders from all great religious backgrounds, including Muslims, Pentecostals, Orthodox, OAIC, and Orthodox Christians, to support Mr. Sanwo-bid Olu’s for governor.”

Sanwo-Olu deserves a second term to finish the good works he has started in Lagos, according to Apostle Okwuonu, the state chairman of PFN, who also spoke. However, PFN is not partisan and does not favor any particular candidate over another.

For his part, PFN scribe Apostle Akindejoye urged all Christians to unite behind Sanwo-bid Olu’s for reelection.
