NAPPS: National President, others Advocates for Best Practices in the Education Sector.

The National President, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS Nigeria, Hajia Samira Jibir (Ph.d) is advocating for best practices in the education sector especially amongst private school operators in Nigeria.

The President who is also the Proprietress of Glisten International School in the FCT said on Wednesday to the Association leaders in the North Central leadership retreat holding at Masaka , Nasarawa State.

She addressed the participants and task them on the need to take the retreat seriously by learning and unlearn how to lead an association. In her words,

 

“We must not take the importance of today’s business lightly, which is to learn and unlearn how to lead our association, so that we can Revamp, Reposition, Restructure, Revigorate, and Relaunch”.

There is a beautiful thin line between being a leader and a manager… We must continue to learn, and share best practices for the growth of our schools and our learners so that they are equipped with skills they need to compete favourably as global citizens and change the world to what they desire.”

The retreat organized by the association, North Central Zone under the leadership of the North Central Vice President, Dr Adetunji Rahamman hosted Proprietors of Private Schools who are leaders in the Association and past leaders as well has dignitaries from the association with inclusion of the National President, Hajia Samira Jibir, the North Central BOT, Comrade Jude Idakpo, the National Council Member, Ambassador Joseph Nwoke, The National Elder, Charles Umekwe, The National Vice President North Central, Dr Adetunji Rahamman and a host of others.

Guest Speakers in the retreat include Mrs Ajala Angela who in her delivery encouraged participants to be involved in advocacy and international self development.

Hajia Samira Jibir , PHD, FNAE, FMIC is the new National President after the expiration of the last administration and Dr Adetunji Rahamman, Kwara took over from Pastor Tabitha Salaundeen Benue whose tenure also expired recently.

The retreat is lasting for one day being today Wednesday 5th June, 2024. One of the most interesting aspect of the program was when the new National Anthem which was stylishly sang and the display of yoruba cultural troupe presented by students.
