Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) front-runner for president, stole the show on Saturday in Awka, the state capital of Anambra.

As part of the celebrations for Governor Charles Soludo’s first year in office, the former governor went to a particular event.

Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and other dignitaries were present at the town hall meeting, which was held at the International Convention Center.

Guests noticed Obi walking in as Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, or APGA, was speaking, and a loud noise was made as a result.

After learning of Obasanjo’s presence, the LP flagbearer made his way to a reserved seat in the front but stood up to greet him.

“In Anambra, today is a very special day. Prior to your arrival, Mr. Peter Obi, a distinguished son of Anambra whom we are pleased with, served as my predecessor in office.

Before you arrived, Soludo said, “I was thanking the father of Nigeria, Mr. President, who laid very clear foundations.

Another round of applause and cheers from the audience followed the governor’s description of the opposition leader.
